Editorial ethics

Editorial ethics and content policy of Innovando Swiss

For Innovando Swiss, editorial ethics is the method through which digital content, analyses and institutional texts are produced, verified and published. This policy defines standards for accuracy, transparency, source management, corrections and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The value of content comes from the principles behind its creation

Editorial ethics is an operational requirement, not a statement of principle. This policy defines the standards by which Innovando News selects, verifies, and publishes content, protecting editorial autonomy, intellectual integrity, and responsibility towards the public. Credibility is built through clear rules, applied consistently.

Accuracy and verifiability

We are committed to publishing verifiable information, clearly distinguishing between facts, analysis, and opinions. When a source is anonymous or cannot be disclosed, we assess it according to criteria of necessity and reliability. Wherever possible, we provide context, date, methodology, and references, avoiding misleading simplifications.

Corrections and updates

Errors must be corrected, not concealed. In the event of inaccuracies or relevant updates, we act promptly and transparently, indicating the nature of the correction. Editorial quality includes the responsibility to review what has been published.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions cannot be bought. No advertiser, client, or commercial partner may influence the editorial line or determine what is published. The separation between economic interests and content is a structural principle.

Conflicts of interest

Where potential conflicts of interest exist (direct or indirect), we manage them transparently: separation of roles, internal review, and, where necessary, explicit disclosure. Reputation is not an output, it is a constraint.

Transparency on sources and sponsored content
When content results from a collaboration, partnership, or sponsorship, we make it recognisable. We avoid ambiguity between informational content and promotional communication. Clarity is an integral part of trust.

Diversity, plurality, and respect

We promote plurality of perspectives and pay careful attention to language and representation. We avoid stereotypes and simplifications that distort people, groups, or contexts. Inclusion is not a label: it is a criterion of editorial quality.

Responsibility and impact

We consider the impact of content: accuracy, proportion, respect for personal dignity, and attention to context. We do not seek sensationalism. We prioritise clarity, usefulness, and depth.

Use of artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence may support analysis, synthesis, and organisation, but it does not replace editorial judgement or human responsibility. Every piece of content is reviewed and validated by people. The use of AI tools follows criteria of transparency and human oversight, in line with our statements and with the AI Act.

Feedback and accountability
The public has the right to be heard. We collect feedback, reports, and correction requests and manage them according to traceable criteria. Well-founded criticism improves quality, it does not weaken it.

Policy review

This policy is reviewed periodically and updated whenever regulations, processes, or the operating context change. Consistency is continuous work.

“Credibility means coherence between what we say and what we do.”

ASSESSMENT

Start with the assessment

If you want to avoid dispersion and invest with clarity, the assessment is the first step. We measure, prioritise and build an actionable roadmap: clear decisions first, then execution.
