A STORY ROOTED IN EXPERIENCE

Innovando was not born from trends, but from decades of lived experience. We are journalists, sociologists, programmers, copywriters, and advertisers with 35 years of campaigns behind us. We witnessed the birth of the digital age, when marketing was still analog and the internet was only a whisper. From the Commodore 64 to Netscape, from BBS boards to the first domains registered by fax, we have always been there — shaping, learning, and anticipating what was to come.

Our story begins long before “digital” became the buzzword it is today. We were already experimenting with communication when creativity was printed on glossy paper and media buying was measured in prime-time slots. As journalists and sociologists, we studied society not as an abstract, but as a living system of people, values, and behaviors. As advertisers, copywriters, and creative directors, we built campaigns that left a mark on national and international stages, when persuasion was still crafted with pen, paper, and intuition.

When the first personal computers arrived — Commodore 64, Amiga, and then the “assembled” 286 and 386 machines — we didn’t see them as toys. We saw them as the new printing presses of a coming era. We explored Borland’s software, Ashton Tate’s dBase, and the magic of BBS networks. While most still saw computers as hobbyist gadgets, we were already imagining how these tools would transform communication, marketing, and identity itself.

This is not nostalgia. It is proof that Innovando was born with a pioneering spirit: we were never just adapting to change, we were anticipating it.

The internet as most people know it began with Netscape. For us, it began earlier: with faxes sent to register domains, with clunky modems and the first HTML pages coded by hand. At a time when others were only learning how to log in, we were already building frameworks for communication in the networked world. Our roots are in the web — not as outsiders who later joined, but as insiders who helped shape its culture.

Innovando was born from two advertisers in Milan — a senior copywriter and a creative director — tired of recycled ideas and eager for a new future. Together with journalists, programmers, and strategists, they created a structure that combined advertising rigor with digital intuition. What set us apart then still sets us apart today: an ability to merge disciplines, to unite vision with execution, and to see communication not as a campaign, but as a continuum.

That spirit has carried us across decades, technologies, and industries. From BBS to social media, from print to immersive digital platforms, from analog persuasion to AI-driven ecosystems — we have lived every stage, not as spectators, but as participants.
